Powerball draw finds two $600,000 winners
Thursday, November 16th, 2006Two tickets have won themselves $600,000 each following last night’s Powerball draw. Matching five numbers was the closest anyone could come to claiming the $35 million jackpot, which will now rise to $45 million ($21.5 million cash value) for Saturday’s draw.
In addition to the two forementioned winners (both of which also played Powerplay, tripling their winnings in the process) another two tickets matched the same sequence without Powerplay to win $200,000 each. Further, another six tickets matched four numbers plus Powerball/Powerplay for $30,000 each; 15 tickets matched the same sequence without Powerplay for $10,000 each; 178 tickets matched four numbers with Powerplay for $3,000 each; with another 809 also matching four numbers without Powerplay for $1,000 each. All told, 384,442 tickets have won some sort of cash prize following the latest Powerball draw.
Once again, the winning numbers from the Nov. 15 Powerball draw were 11, 28, 30, 34 and 43 with a Powerball of 29.
