Powerball to award $5.1M in cash after draw
More than $5.1 million will be awarded among 433,392 winners following last night’s Powerball draw, none of which include the jackpot, however. It will now rise to $36 million ($18 million cash value) for the next draw on Saturday, Oct. 14.
This time out, one $800,000 leads the list of cash prize recipients, made possible by matching five numbers - missing only on the Powerball. In addition, the lucky ticket holder played Powerplay as well, quadrupling the winnings. The same sequence without Powerplay paid $200,000 for three other tickets. Other winners include three $40,000 winners (for matching four numbers + Powerball/Powerplay); 28 $10,000 winners (four numbers + Powerball); 250 $4,000 winners (matching four numbers + Powerplay); and 966 $1,000 winners for matching four numbers.
Once again, the winning numbers from the Oct. 11 Powerball draw were 5, 10, 12, 35 and 38 with a Powerball of 9.
