Third-consecutive Powerball jackpot winner
Saturday, September 30th, 2006Powerball has turned-out its third-consecutive jackpot winner, this time from the state of Louisiana, as one lucky ticket matching all six numbers to win $15 million (cash value of $7.2 million) in Saturday night’s draw.
All told, an additional 474,608 tickets will share in another $5.8 million in cash prizes, led by seven tickets matching five numbers - good for $200,000 each. Meanwhile, twenty-five other tickets matched four numbers plus the Powerball - winning $10,000 each; while six other tickets matched the same sequence while playing Powerplay, multiplying their winnings by five to garner $50,000 each. In addition, another 203 tickets matched four numbers with Powerplay, winning $5,000 each, while not playing Powerplay on the same sequence earned $1,000 for 835 other tickets.
Once again, the winning numbers from the Sept. 30 Powerball draw are 6, 15, 30, 32 and 39 with a Powerball of 5. The next draw, with a jackpot once-again restarted at $15 million, will take place Wednesday, Oct. 4.
