Powerball’s latest drawing sees two more players $200,000 richer, but the jackpot remained safe.

The next drawing on Saturday will now see a jackpot of $48 million (cash value of $21.3). Both of the quarter-million-dollar winners matching five numbers but missed on the Powerball.

The Powerplay option paid-off handsomely again for seven other players when they matched four numbers plus the Powerball: each won $50,000 as compared to 18 other players who matched the same numbers but took home $10,000 each.

Of note, one of the $200,000 winning tickets was sold in North Carolina. The state experienced its first Powerball drawing ever yesterday, with more than $1 million in tickets sold.
