New Developments In The Holloway Case
Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006While the connections to the gambling world may be thin, the event is an important development in an ongoing murder investigation. An 18 year-old casino worker named Guido Wever has been indicted on charges of murder and manslaughter in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Wever will appear in court Tuesday in the Netherlands.
Holloway, from the Birmingham, Alabama, was visiting Aruba last spring with about 100 high school classmates and several parent chaperones. She was last seen leaving a nightclub on May 30, 2005, with three men, Joran van der Sloot, a Dutch national and, Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe. These three were arrested roughly a month following the disappearance but a judge ruled that there was insufficient evidence to hold them and they were released. This turned out to be just the first three of eight arrests connected to the disappearance.
