Single winning ticket to claim Mega Millions
Wednesday, April 19th, 2006Somewhere in Cincinnati sits the world’s newest multi-millionaire - 265 times over.
One ticket has been identified as being the winner of last night’s Mega Millions lottery, hitting on all six numbers 13, 14, 25, 34 and 50 along with the Mega Ball number of 6, claiming the sixth-highest Mega Millions jackpot in history at $265 million.
Along with the grand prize, some 1.8 million tickets won prizes - 21 tickets matched five numbers (good for $250,000 each); 109 players matched four numbers (good for $10,000 each). Other winners included 4,373 hitting for four numbers (good for $150 each); 5,307 tickets matched three numbers and the Mega Ball (for $150 each); 85,482 people hit two numbers each plus the Mega Ball (for $10 each); three numbers hitting for 233,019 was good for $7 each; 513,210 matched one number each plus the Mega Ball (for $3 each) and lastly, 973,109 matched one number (good for a $2 prize).
The next draw for Mega Millions will be Friday, April 21, 2006 with a jackpot of $12 million.
